Does it matter? :) A man is alive today who wouldn't have been otherwise. I tend to think most heroic acts of this sort occur based on sheer instinct -- either someone acts, or they don't. There's no time to weigh all the consequences in the split second they have before deciding. Most people choose to do nothing.

I'm going for dumb and lucky. I'm thinking I might do it if it was a little kid, but only because I now know that there will be room.
