Am I the only one who cries buckets every damn time I watch Deep Impact? What is it? The impending doom coupled with young love and father/daughter pre-killer wave reconciliation?
Oh, the heartstrings.

I *love* that movie! And I am endlessly teased for it! My 2 favorite scenes: when Tea Leoni gives up her seat for Kerry from ER and her child; and the wave. I LOVE the wave.
Huh. I wonder if my kids could watch that? My partner is telling me NO WAY!! That they'd be afraid of meteors hitting the earth, and have yet another reason to not go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

Yes. Yes, I believe you are.
We all have our guilty pleasures...
I lurve that movie.
I think you're confusing Deep Impact with Armageddon.
Anon: No, she's not. Armageddon: asteroid, oil-drilling dudes, Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck, sucked.
Deep Impact: comet, spaceship dudes, Tea Leoni and Elijah Wood, good.
Armageddon is awesome in its own Bruckheimer/Bay signature way: "What're you doing with a gun in space?"
And, loser that I am, I cry when Bruce Willis says goodbye over the videophone to Liv Tyler.
Ahh! Maybe it's a father/daughter thing with these movies. That could so be. Must file away for therapy.
